Windows for a Week Challenge

I’m challenging myself as a mac user to run Windows for a week. I’ve got a fresh install of Vista on my iMac and I’m going to document how it goes.

The main reason for this is research for our Tactile CRM product – we develop on Macs and Linux in the office and test in Windows but we don’t really use the product in anger on windows. From a personal perspective I haven’t used Windows for about 10 years so I’m interested to see how it compares to OS X.

  1. All Apple fangirlism aside, I'm genuinely interested in how you get along with it. Vista is known for being far from Microsoft's proudest moment, and IMHO it takes more than a week to find new habits, the right software and generally "find your way around" the different structure of another OS so the experiment is slightly flawed. Regardless, it'll be a laugh to see the results ;-) In the hope you keep your hair on, V

  2. Brave man Jake! It took less than a week of Vista before I started to tear my hair out over it and decided to revert to XP again. I'm still forced to use it on occasion though but defiantely not out of choice. Good luck :)
